We all know how devastating losing a loved one can be. Hopefully we can help owners reconnect with their lost pets. Most of the time your local paper will run lost/found pet ads for free, so check with them as well. Also, try contacting the Wake County SPCA at (919)772-2326 or the Durham County SPCA at (919) 560-0640.
